Your doctor will advise you during the consultation when they expect your results to arrive at the practice. In the event of a clinically significant result, you will be contacted as soon as possible to make a follow up appointment to discuss the results with your doctor.
If you would like to discuss your results with your doctor please book in for an appointment to enable the doctor to go through your results thoroughly and suggest any change in your management as necessary.
In some instances when the results are “normal” or within normal limits, the doctor will get the practice nurse or reception staff to advise you of your results.
Please note that no test results are filed in a patients computer file without being checked by the Doctor first. Abnormal results are always conveyed to the patient even if they have failed to telephone in.
Please ensure that your contact details are up to date so that we can contact you with specific follow-up instructions in a timely manner.
